Post on lfgss site: “Any one know about Carpenter frames, think it is pre-war 39/45, it has a Chater- Lea bottom bracket and a serial number of 3948 on the frame underneath, I raced on the track at Leicester until 1988 and time trials on calm days on this bike, it has sat in my shed buried until now“

May 2024. Good morning, I’ve been given a very beautiful carpenter tandem. It belonged to a very strong cyclist who is no longer able to ride due to old age. I’m have now restored to its former glory. (Jim Weston)
